Back to watercolors after a week off for spring break. I walk into class and our model is Derrick, from the last sculpture! Funny seeing him in different poses (8 different poses during the 2.5 hour class) after seeing him in only one pose for 6 weeks. David says I may be entering an inbetween stage where I’m trying to move on from where I was, but I’m not yet at the next place yet, so I’m kinda nowhere. My colors are getting bolder, but my drawings are off and my colors are a bit TOO much. The 20-minute has some daring magentas in it and the 60 minute is drawn okay and looks very solid and 3-dimensional, but also kind of too bold and cartoony.
