A couple getting ready to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary commissioned a papercut from me to celebrate. They were hoping that I could create a papercut that would take inspiration from their ketubah, and they sent me pictures.

In the ketubah, I noticed the mosaic nature of the painting, and was inspired by that. I also brought in the Jerusalem skyline, the two trees oriented toward each other, and some text. The text, which is from from Song of Songs 3:4, means “I have found the one in whom my soul delights.”
