This piece was commissioned to celebrate the year 2012, when significant events happened for nearly everyone in this extended family (graduations, wedding, anniversaries, birthdays). Each tree appears above the name of the person the tree represents; anniversaries and weddings show trees close together, tree size gives some indication of person’s age.

The Hebrew to the right of the year means “A year of blessing” and to the left “A life of blessing.”

I made the first papercut by hand, and then had 2 lasercut copies created.
