May These Things Never End

Translation: “My God, My God, may these things never end, the sand and the sea, the rustle of the water, the lightening/thunder of the sky, the prayers of humankind.” The words of this song were written by Hannah Senesh, a Jewish heroine of World War II, who was killed after being captured in Hungary, during an effort to save Allied prisoners of war and organize Jewish resistance.
